And it's Live

As promised the wooddale senior high video that I shot and edited is now live on Wooddale's youtube, I've embedded the video in this post. Also on another note I have begun working on the mask for the tattoo commercial that I wrote for Lucky Linda's Tattoo in downtown Shakopee in Minnesota, we are basing the head off of an indy mogul episode, so if you want to give what they suggest the link is here

And it's time for bed

I always enjoy that feeling of getting a project done, though often time I wish that it wasn't five thirty in the morning. It's not that I have trouble with the timing of the day. I work overnights part time and I actually feel I get more work done during the night than sometimes durning the day, but what I hate is always the random something that seems to happen on every production piece that you ever work on.

The chaos theory as it is sometimes said or that rule that basically says that if something bad can happen, than that thing will happen, and boy did some bad things happen on this production. I found out that if the camera loses power all of a sudden than the camera doesn't save the file that it was currently recording. I also had some issues with importing video footage, some of the footage didn't want to get imported and I had to actually reshoot it through a ghetto rig of a VLC player, my camera, and a mini to mini connector, but it worked which I am ever so thankful for, and the file is now currently rendering out of Final Cut Pro 7 and Compressor and should be up online in the next ten to twenty minutes or so.

October 18 2011 - Editing and lots of it

So last weekend I went out of town to video tape Wooddale Church's fall retreat, and it went really well. I got some high speed video of kids climbing over a wall at an obstacle course and playing football. I shot the video on my Canon 7D at 60 frames per second, but now I'm stuck with the grueling part of taking the video and stretching it out so it looks like it is going in slow motion. I'm sure the video will look good, but it is just taking time. I'll post the video once I get the video completed later tonight. It should be good to watch, but we are looking at a longer video, probably around fifteen minutes.

I'm also working on trying to get my short film The Reformed Man done for MUFF and it's not that one. It stands for the Minneapolis Underground Film Festival. It's looking good, but it's time consuming as the video is done in the same styles as a Scanner Darkly, Waking Life, and those Charles Schuaves (sp?) commercials. I'll post a link to the trailer once I get that done.

Looks like another night without a lof of sleep, though that won't be so bad, because tomorrow I get to sleep in.
