So, as I work on the building the head for the muppet, for the commercial shoot on Wednesday, I have come to realize that the hot glue gun I bought is garbage. I guess it is more the glue sticks, than the glue gun itself, but still I'm upset with the outcome of what this gun has been able to do.
So I say this, do not go to Target and buy and do not buy the rose art hot glue gun and hot glue. It is a waste of money. You end up needing to encase whole pieces in glue to even bring up the remote chance that things might hold, and that is not a good thing.
Currently I have thrown out the glue gun approach and am currently using the duct tape approach. It seems to be working alright, and will finish off the head hopefully in the morning. I'm somewhat satisfied with the current look that the head has come out with. The framing at least and the amount of foam I've put on it.
I'll post pictures after the head is complete and we shoot the commercial. Until next time keep it local.
Again we based our head off of this Indy Mogul Episode, though I couldn't find a magnetic motor so I used some rope and a pull system. It seems to work well. If you have a chance, give them some love.
